Obituary for Marie Haynie (Hilliard)

Marie Hilliard Haynie born on September 7, 1928 in Polk County, FL to Hiram and Ruby Hilliard; one of eight children.  A peaceful transition into heaven was witnessed on September 22, 2023.

Our mom was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother and a friend to many.  Her love was reflected in her actions; a servant's heart and hands that worked from dusk to dawn.

A woman of many talents; cheerleader, equestrian, teacher, mentor, Dental Assistant, flea market flipper, penny pincher, seamstress, quilter, needlepoint expert, cook, baker (especially Peanut Butter Cake), gardener, Registered Nurse, medical missionary traveling the world, caregiver to many, and one who shared adventures through her slides.

Survived by her children, Elaine Haynie Hartman, Janis Haynie Anderson (Richard), Thomas Gray Haynie (Kim), and Kristi Haynie Christian (Bob); grandchildren, Jill, Patrick, Matthew (Robin) Jessica (Myron), Melissa, Gray (Licia) and Brittany (Justin) and her great-grandchildren, Lainey, Connor, Calvin, Charlie, Rylie, Wyatt, James, Jacob, Hunter, Monroe, Vaughn, Lucy, Jude, Rylynn.
